I talk out of both sides of my mouth this week....and that's a special talent, I tell ya!  When you're dealing with boundaries, you have to know what yours are so you can keep them steady....

Until you decide you need to test them!

The UnBreakable Retreat
   
I keep thinking about the Retreat and how things are gonna flow, how we'll be transformed after spending the day together, how we'll discover so much about ourselves, and how we'll make life long bonds with women that are sharing our journey.

I can hardly wait!

Just Imagine....

What if....those are 2 VERY big words.  But what if you were able to live the life you imagined.

Is that even possible?

I think the bigger question is what is the life you imagined?

How is it different from the way you're living today?

Maybe, it's not that different.  OR maybe it looks great, but in a totally different way than you imagined.

And the bigger question still?  

What would it take to make the shift, to Twist Your Thinking, to actually make
it happen?

Those are the questions you have to ask and answer for yourself.  

These aren't easy questions to answer sometimes, but my suggestion would be to start this way:  Take an hour, find a quiet spot, and think.  Write your thoughts down (big surprise there, right?)....go over them, really examine them and see if there are places that you want to change it up a bit, how could you do that?

And remember this:  It doesn't have to be a gigantic leap into the unknown.  Sometimes just a small Twist will make a huge difference.....

Willing to try?  Willing to take that hour for yourself and really think about living your best life?

Rest is good for your Soul...

We talk a lot about slaying the demons and keeping on.

It's not just coming from me ... it's a very popular thought process...just keep swimming!

But....another popular thought process, and one that's in direct opposition to the first one is this:  We Must Rest Occasionally!

I have no idea why that's such a hard thing to do!  There's this crazy thought that if we rest, we have failed....we have been unable to complete or accomplish whatever we were doing.

Which, might I remind you (and me!!) is total baloney!

None of us can go for 24 hours and not stop.  Ok, maybe we could go for 24 hours, but we wouldn't be much good for very long after that.

But it's become some kind of badge of honor to run on little sleep and lots of confusion.  I'm just here to tell you:  I WANT MORE SLEEP.... I NEED MORE REST.

And now....at this point in my life, I will stop and rest pretty much when I need it.  And I am all about saying that to whoever or whatever I need to in order to make it happen. I still stay up too late and do too much (don't we all!!?!?!?), but I know when my soul, my body, my brain, and my heart need rest and I'm gonna give in and do it.

No guilt here....and no guilt for you!

Ya gotta fill up in order to run!

 
 
Only 30?

I LOVE this prompt!  

Make a list of 30 things that make you smile!

Isn't that great?

For this one, I think you should have a place to jot new ones down over the week to see how many you can come up with...but definitely make 30 your goal!

Open a note on your phone, stick a notepad, index card, or sheet of paper in your tote/bag/pocketbook/purse/whatever and when you find yourself smiling, make a note of it.
 
Wouldn't it be fabulous to have this list any time you need to feel good?

Again, for one more week, I'll leave the info below because this is sorta new!

  • You can start any time you want to
  • There isn't any length requirement
  • There isn't any time requirement
  • You can print them out or get a notebook (NOTEBOOKS!!!!) and rewrite each one
  • They will all be in the club, each one added weekly

These are designed to make you think outside your comfort zone, but not so far out you're afraid you'll never find your way back in!  Be honest with your writing...this is just for you and if you don't write what you're feeling, it probably won't help.

These prompts are designed to help you discover more about you....it's already inside you, but sometimes it gets stuck under the ugly box of feelings, negativity, guilt.  So writing it down...honestly, openly, and freely, helps you see it and THAT's pretty magical!

So, print this out (click here ➣ Prompt to get the sheet), hole punch that pretty thing and slap it in a notebook....or snag one of your kids 😉 and start writing!!!

Business Anyone?

Last week, I had the honor of speaking to the women from a very large women business owners group.  

That's not my usual speaking topic these days, but I booked this speaking engagements months ago and with the audience, it made sense.

And I still love 'talking shop' and they loved it, too.

I say this because sometimes we fight what we're good at because of other influences, or any other number of reasons.

But there's no reason you can't do more, or be good at more than 1 (or 12!) things.

So I will continue to take the speaking engagements for business groups, offer group business coaching, and have business clients.

I will also focus most of my energy and time on the life coaching side....it's a balance and as long as I can make it work, I will.

I love both, I'm good at both and I'm willing to see how it plays out.

The biggest part of this is that I get to decide....as do you.  You have the power to make the choices, see the plans, and choose what's best for you!
