A tiny latch threw me a giant curve ball...
I had a big ol' a-ha moment yesterday....and you just won't believe how it happened.

Sometimes, and sometimes more often than we'd like....we get hung up on something that could totally derail us because we aren't thinking outside the box, or even outside the circle.

Check out the TINY thing that kept me from making an easy change on the Monday Motivation video.......you can find it here:

The UnBreakable Retreat

Do you want to figure out where you're going and find a way to get there?  Do you want to have time and space to breathe, to find your soul, to release the demons, and discover who you were meant to be?

The UnBreakable Retreat is where that happens....

Check it out here ➣
Retreat
Why is this so difficult??

We've all been there....body shaming from others, and from ourselves.

And ain't THAT crazy!

I think being comfortable in our own skin is, of course, so much more than just the physical look of ourselves.  BUT that physical piece is the one that hits us the hardest because every time we pass a mirror, a door in the frozen food
food section, or a store window, we see a reflection of ourselves that we don't necessarily like.

THAT's the issue...we don't like and appreciate our physical reflection.

And to me, that's the struggle.

We have spent our entire lives changing our physical appearance and there's nothing wrong with that...you (and I) want to put our best foot (and face) forward and look our best.  We've altered our shape, our skin, and everything in between, and the cosmetics empire has become wealthy from our insecurities.

But at some point, we must become comfortable with that reflection and how it graces us.  We are the first to point out our flaws...every picture we've ever taken is first scrutinized for imperfections and viewed as less than perfect.

And I just gotta tell ya....I'll never be perfect and I'm ok with that.

You know I've said this about a thousand times, but the next time you see your reflection in any place, first say this:  Dang girl....you look amazing!

Let's be comfortable in our own skin....

Words to soothe my soul...

You might have noticed - ha - but I'm a word person.  Someone shared a meme and tagged me in it and I thought it was perfect:

"I am by nature a dealer in words, and words are the most powerful drug known to humanity."

Good ol' Rudyard Kipling wrote those words,
and he might have known a few words himself - ha!

So when I wrote these words as part of a longer post, they wound around my soul and wrapped it tightly with courage and faith, and I truly knew I wanted to breathe in the magic when the moon dances with the stars.

What words soothe your soul....is there a favorite author, or book or poem that brings you peace and joy..something all at the same time?

As I continue to write, and give myself permission to write exactly what I'm feeling at that moment, I sometimes can't keep up with the words as fast as they are flowing from my brain. Other days, my brain is barren - ha!  And on those days, I don't push it....another thing I've given myself permission to do....and that's a very good feeling!

Be the Inspiration!

I've talked a lot about our circle of influence and how it impacts us daily.

But with this prompt, I want you to twist your thinking a little and think about those things and/or people that inspire you.

AND how they inspire you.  Maybe even...why.

It's easy to jot down 10 names of the people that have an impact but it might give you a little more pause when you have to say...why and how.

I added that last part about how and why because sometimes I find that we aren't even sure why someone inspires us, but you just like them.

Which is really cool.

BUT....think about it this way...if you knew WHY and HOW they inspired you, then you could take some of those qualities on yourself if you wanted to.

It's all about the info and knowledge, y'all.  Often more is much better

If you want to print the sheet you can do that here ➣ Prompt , but you can also use your fancy notebook to just write it down and get to it!

Don't Postpone Joy

Once upon a time, I saw a bumper sticker with the words: "Don't postpone Joy".

This was many, many years ago, when the interest wasn't the place to find all things and you couldn't just whip something up and have it delivered the next day.

I wanted that bumper sticker...and it was years before I saw it on another bumper...still no clue as to where to get my very own.

I've been searching for that bumper sticker for years, and have finally realized I can create it and have it printed and it would be here within a week.

But...I no longer need the bumper sticker, because those words...don't postpone joy ... have been imbedded on my brain.

I don't wait.

I don't want to wait.

I am going to do things as soon as I can, as imperfectly as I can, and as often as I can....and those are the things that will make me happy and bring me joy.

Don't wait.....

The last line of this meme says it all:  Otherwise, you'll run out of time.

Don't Postpone Joy, y'all!

When was the
last time....

you saw a really strange pumpkin??

These were at the pumpkin patch on Saturday and I don't think I've ever seen any pumpkins like this!

They were weird and fascinating all at the same time. The 'pink' one almost looked flesh color and the blueish one looked almost black!  We didn't buy one, but I'm thinking I need to go back and get one!

I wish you love & laughter, and glitter & grace
this week and always!

Glitter & Grace,
Sasha
