Define your fear so you can overcome it!
|
|
|
You know that loud noise you just heard outside? When you went to look, all you could see was dark. So it scared the heebie jeebies outta ya.
But...when you discovered it was a squirrel running around in the trees and a small limb fell....well, you weren't nearly as afraid, were you?
That's because you defined your fear. Yep...makes all the difference in the world. Check out all the details on the Monday Motivation video.......you can find it here:

The UnBreakable Retreat
The busier we get, the more I know I need space and time to regroup, to refresh, and to get myself back on track.
The UnBreakable Retreat is where that will all happen.

Simple words...
You are worthy. You are amazing. You are loved.
These aren't fancy words, hard to pronounce, hard to spell, or even words you don't hear very often.
These are just everyday words, but when you weave them together, they have pure, raw

power.
And for reasons known only to the universe, we hesitate to say them out loud. It's not even that we keep the just for our closest loved ones....and wouldn't think of uttering them outside our tightest circle. We often don't say them at all.
And that's something I'd love to change.
Can you imagine....if you heard those words every day, how different you would feel about yourself?
Wow...just wow.....the possibility of self confidence soaring, the ability to change someone's thoughts about themselves, and the power of sharing goodness with a person.
It's just overwhelming to me.
The good, good overwhelming feeling of joy.
Yes...I can imagine. And I want to start a power play...one where I say good things to the people in my world and to random people....not because I think they need it, but because I know it can make a different.
You in, ?

But are you listening...
The most amazing things happen inside your brain, but that's no secret. You are able to live because of it, and eat, walk, talk, work...you know, all the things that go along with living.
But...you can also tell your brain things that will send signals to your brain that something is going to happen.
Then it begins to look for ways to make that happen, since it's already been signaled that it's supposed to be happening.

Sounds crazy, right?
But think about the positivity twist...when negative things are happening, you have the power to change your mindset by repeating positive affirmations, sending the good vibes to your brain to change how you're thinking and feeling.
Your mind believes what you tell it...feed it hope. Feed it truth. Feed it with love....

Just say No!
We all get caught up in things we have to do. Some are responsibility, some are required by an employer, some are just things that we've always done and just keep on doing.
But ... what if we just wrote down the things we'd like to say "No" to?
This doesn't mean we have to storm into any office, throw down an ultimatum and see who takes us up on it.
This just means we get to think about what we'd like to say "No" to and see how it feels. Once you look at it on paper, you will see two options:
1. you'll say "no" to it out loud
2. you'll keep things as they are.

Pretty simple, really....and the end result isn't necessarily the point. The point is to simply write down a list of what you'd like to say, "no" to
I think if you take the time to write the things down, and then look over them clearly and think about them for a hot minute, you'll find some clarity in your notes. You can burn the list, keep the list, hide it in the back of the folder, or keep it front and center to help you decide.
That's the beauty of seeing your words...they make it real....
If you want to print the sheet you can do that here ➣ Prompt , but you can also use your fancy notebook to just write it down and get to it!

On a wing and a prayer some days...
I'm a planner (like that's a surprise to y'all...), but I've been working on chilling out a little and seeing how that feels in my soul.

Sometimes, it's actually harder on me mentally to not have a plan, to just make it up as I go. But...I'm willing to see how it feels to do that occasionally. And that doesn't mean I have to completely change my ways (planning is literally in my DNA...I'm sure of it), or never go back one way or the other. But if I can take a peek and see how something feels, then that tells me I can change a habit that I want to change.
And that's pretty cool.
What habit are you working on changing?

When was the last time...
you felt calmer by organization?
I spent hours on Sunday cleaning up and organizing the Glitter Dome and it made such a difference. I enjoy going in there now, I enjoy spending time in there, and it just makes me happy to be in that room.
Now...I'm not going to go crazy and start cleaning everything - ha - but this room is my haven, my peaceful place, and to have it give me joy when I walk in is huge!
Now...let's see how long it stays this way!

When was the
last time....
you had a cold?
Usually, we're a pretty healthy household, but this winter has already kicked our butt!
Mac had the bonafide Influenza B virus in October, and then Tater got a piece of it (tamiflu for the win), and I had a touch of it.
We were all better...then I've got this whole chest and cough thing going on and lemme tell ya...I'm already over it.
The Season can bite me and my Tylenol Cold!
So, this means January, February and March will be totally germ free, right?
