With the beginning of a new DECADE, we look to bring more joy and happiness into our lives and work toward living an even better life. With that thought, choosing a word (or words) of the year can make a difference.
After you watch the video, you can come back here to find good words that might work for your word. Click this link ➣ Word of the Year
Find out exactly what I'm talking about on the Monday Motivation video.......you can find it here:
First, let me say I hope you loved your Christmas bead....IF you got a bead only and I somehow missed your bracelet, please let me know. If you got a bracelet and already had one, please feel free to regift it or use it!
New Year's Eve Eve....a new Decade....a brand new 365 days to start over.
JUST like we have every year. There's still something magical about the holiday season,
the whole of it, sparkles and sprinkles that go along with it.
BUT, when it's over, I'm happy for new beginnings, and the possibility of what's to come.
Again....just like every year AND every day. What are you gonna do with your tomorrow?
Fabulous Experiences...
I love the thought of this....we're never starting over from scratch because of all the experiences we bring along with us every day.
Doesn't that give you a different outlook on starting something new? If you think about all the 'stuff' you know now because of all the 'stuff' you've been through or have experienced, you have a giant head start on whatever you're thinking about.
And THAT's a big ol' WOW for me!
It helps me feel less fearful of new starts, new dreams, and new goals....I've already come so far, and so have you.
We've got this, !!
Your Own Energy....
Oh this!
This is so true....how many times have you been influenced by the emotions of someone in the same room?
It happens all the time. Someone is in a bad mood, or is being hateful or angry, and you absorb their energy and it changes your energy.
Ain't THAT crazy!!
So when I saw this picture, it really resonated with me and said it so well.....Being able to influence the energy in the room isn't something you have to work toward.
You just have to be...
And then others will be influenced from your energy.
Isn't that simply the coolest thought!?
These aren't Resolutions...
You heard me say in the Video that I don't do 'Resolutions', (and since I'm sure you've already watched the video 😉) you know I talked about a Word of the Year instead.
But, we can always think about how we want to change for the better.
And I think we can always change for the better. Maybe it's changing back from a decision that wasn't the best for us. Maybe it's changing to a new thought completely, or maybe it's changing to a slightly different perspective of something you've been doing a long time.
Change is good. Change is scary. Change is how we grow and figure out what the heck we're doing and where we're going.
If you want to print the sheet you can do that here ➣ Prompt , but you can also use your fancy notebook to just write it down and get to it!
And when you think of it as a 'pep talk', it takes on a whole new thought...wouldn't you give your bestie a pep talk when you realized she needed it?
OF COURSE you would.
So let's give one to ourself, too.
You can start with the Morning Motivation tomorrow...then take it from there!
Other Goodness you might like!
When was the last time...
you found new wings?
You may know I'm a #wingchaser (totally made up that name and hashtag...), and when I found out there were some on Beale Street in Memphis, it was on my radar for sure.
And these did NOT disappoint. They have musical notes in them, fitting for the birth place of the Blues, and I was very glad "Memphis" was at the top so I won't have any problem remembering where these were.
On to the next #wingchase!
When was the
last time...
you rekindled a 45 year old memory? Mac started thinking about his first car, the one he got his license in, the one he tore up the roads in, the one his brother continued to tear up the roads in after he left for Memphis.
So, this trip he found the car and he and an old friend (that participated in those road-tearing-up trips) checked it out.
Maybe they'll be able to resurrect it and take a ride around the school one more time.
Maybe it'll be so broken underneath that it can't be fixed.
But no matter, seeing him with that car, reliving those moments from his teenage years was priceless.
When was the
last time....
you saw a baby baby picture of your kids or grandkids (if they're grown)?
This picture of Tater is one of my favorites...her hair....Lawd her hair!
Anyway, I found this on my hard drive and saved it to my 'photos'...BUT I saved it as 2080 instead of 2008.
SO....what all this means is that it's always the first picture I see because they're sorted by date.
ALL that to say.....it makes me smile every time I see it and I'm really glad I made that mistake!
(And truth be told, I've tried to change it but could't figure out how....NOW I'm so glad I didn't!)
I wish you love & laughter, and glitter & grace
this week and always!
